DES-7200 s eries. 7200-48P provides 44 10/100/1000BASE-T e lectrical 1000M i nterfaces

and 4 optical/electrical c ombo 1000M interfaces, and s upports up to 48 1000BASE-T

interfaces or 44+M 1000BASE-T interfaces and N 1000BASE-X interfaces where M plus N

equals 4. The 7200-48P module is hot swappable.

1. Interface

7200-48P provides 44 10/100/1000BASE-T electrical 1000M interfaces and 4

optical/electrical combo 1000M interfaces, and supports up to 48 1000BASE-T interfaces or

44+M 1000BASE-T interfaces and N 1000BASE-X interfaces where M plus N equals 4. The

1000M electrical i nterface supports P oE b y def ault. Automatic MD I/MDI-X id entification is

available on ly when automatic negotiation i s en abled. The SFP por ts s upport s hort-wave

(850nm, m ulti-mode) and long-wave ( 1310nm, s ingle-mode) 1000 M SFP op tical m odules

and long-wave (1550nm) 1000M SFP optical modules and SFP copper ports, thus facilitating

configuration for users.

Note: The 7200-48P provides twelve SFP optical ports and 10/100/1000BASE-T ports that

are i n t he c ombo f orm. I n ot her words, e ach S FP por t c orresponds t o one

10/100/1000BASE-T port, and only one port can be us ed at a t ime, w ith t he other being

unavailable. T he MD I/MDI-X aut omatic identification of t he 10/ 100/1000M e lectrical ports

takes effect only when auto negotiation is enabled.
