Section 3 - Conguration

Internet Connection

When you connect the DIR-508L to a cable modem using an

Ethernet cable, you should be connected to the Internet. The

Internet icon will be blue and the connection will have a check

mark .

If you connect the DIR-508L to an xDSL modem using an Ethernet

cable and nd that you can not access the Internet:

1. Find out if your ISP (Internet Service Provider) uses a PPPoE

(Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet) connection. If the

answer is yes, they can provide you with a PPPoE user name

and password.

2. From the Home page, click on the Internet icon to start the

wizard.

3. Enter the Username and Password provided by your ISP.

4. Click Save.
